Our company began from rented fields down in Warmingham in Cheshire in 1978 , in 1990 our search for better land led us to the village of Rainford where we grow 70 acres of turf on the moss road that seperates Skelmersdale & Rainford
We still grow some turf in Cheshire that we harvest in the winter months and we also farm a field of turf at Burscough
We are First and formost a family ran turf nursery however we are also noted for supplying fantastic loamy topsoils and compost blends for with your turf or for separate jobs around the garden.
Lancashire along with Lincolnshire is probably the turf capital of England with some of the countries major players based here , We are probably the smallest turf company in the area focusing mainly on home owners and local gardening contractors and sports clubs rather than shunting turf up and down the country to big house builders
We take pride in our products and invest steadily each year on equipment , before harvesting our turf is cut at around 22 mm with a kesmac cylinder mower and then vaccumed with a giant turf hoover to remove any clippings. Of course all turf we supply is on a regular feeding and weed spraying rota.
